by purchasing the product in this webstore, you agree on the terms below.

Free FedEx ground shipping applies only continental United States (AK, HI excluded) with day-time peak temperatures below 72 degrees. States like FL, LA, TX, CA, AZ, NV, GA, SC, NM, MS can have higher temperatures (https://weather.com/maps/ustemperaturemap) and require 2-day air shipping for an additional estimated rate of $17/lb. (added to your original amount or charged separately if paid by PayPal). We will contact you in higher temperature states before shipping the chocolates and incurring the additional charge.

To avoid chocolate melting outside of your home or being stolen, we strongly advise to have product shipped to place of work or request FedEx to keep the package in the nearest FedEx location. You can manage your incoming FedEx shipments by signing up with FedEx delivery manager at: https://www.fedex.com/apps/fdmenrollment/?locale=en_US. This functionality provides you control of your incoming Leonidas FedEx shipments.

Leonidas Quality

Your shipment is treated with the same care than in making Leonidas delicious chocolates. We specially package and ship your gift so that it will arrive in perfect condition, but it is important that you will manage closely the receiving of the product. Each order comes with Leonidas packaging, and upon request, we'll also include a complimentary gift card with your personal message.


Our world famous chocolates are fresh and flown in weekly from Brussels, Belgium. Our chocolates are made of the freshest ingredients and should be consumed within 30 days of delivery. Leonidas chocolate maintains its freshness the best in a cool and dry area with temperatures between 59 and 65 degrees.

Our chocolates are shipped from Leonidas-USA.com, 1907 Central Street, Evanston, IL 60201 by Fedex, a top rated in the industry for its shipping services and handling reliability. We are not responsible for damages, losses or delays caused by Fedex or the customer negligence - please refer to www.Fedex.com to shipping terms and damages. We may elect to require signature for delivery and hold the shipment if there is a chance of heat damage. Leonidas is not responsible for the product after it has been handed over to the carrier (FedEx) - the customer is responsible for ensuring timely receiving of the product and mitigating all and any weather, theft, physical or other damages at the destination. Please review your addresses carefully before submitting - we will charge additional $12 for incorrect address. We strongly recommend signing up to the FedEx Shipping Manager service that allows the recipient to control the delivery dates and hold the shipments at FedEx location if necessary.

Note: Free FedEx Ground shipping for orders over $49 varies by state and time of the year. Generally the states with day-time temperature over 70 Fahrenheit are disabled in the checkout. Some exceptions may apply, but please contact our customer service if you have any questions. 2-day shipping typically is very cost efficient and also required for warm climate.

For your time-definite needs, FedEx Express delivers on Saturday in many U.S. cities with FedEx First Overnight®, FedEx Priority Overnight® and FedEx 2Day® services. Saturday is a standard delivery day with FedEx Home Delivery®.

Wrong Address fees: FedEx charge of Address Correction will be charged back to the customer (currently approximately $13.00).

  • Next-business-day delivery by 8, 8:30, 9 or 10 a.m., depending on destination ZIP code.
  • Service Days: Monday–Friday, with Saturday pickup and delivery available in many areas for an additional charge.
  • Available throughout all 50 states (Hawaii service is outbound only).
  • Exceptions: Delivery is available from Alaska and Hawaii to many U.S. markets by 8 or 8:30 a.m., depending on destination ZIP code. FedEx Priority Overnight®: next-business-day morning
  • Next-business-day delivery by 10:30 a.m. to most U.S. addresses; by noon, 4:30 p.m. or 5 p.m. in remote areas; by noon, 1:30 p.m. or 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays. Check transit times.
  • Service Days: Monday–Friday, with Saturday pickup and delivery also available for an additional charge. Call 1.800.GoFedEx 1.800.463.3339 to see if Saturday delivery is available to your location.
  • Delivery Area: Available throughout all 50 states.

FedEx Standard Overnight®: next-business-day afternoon
  • Next-business-day delivery by 3 p.m. to most U.S. addresses; by 4:30 p.m. to rural areas. Check transit times.
  • Service Days: Monday–Friday, with Saturday pickup available in many areas for an additional charge.
  • Delivery Area: Available throughout all 50 states to addresses where FedEx Priority Overnight® delivery commitment is by 10:30 a.m. or noon (Hawaii service is outbound only).

FedEx 2Day® A.M.: 2 business days in the morning
  • Second-business-day delivery by 10:30 a.m. to most U.S. addresses; by noon to rural areas. Check transit times.
  • Service Days: Monday–Friday, with Saturday pickup available in many areas for an additional charge.
  • Delivery Area: Available throughout all 50 states.

FedEx 2Day®: 2 business days
  • By 4:30 p.m. in 2 business days to most areas (by 7 p.m. to residences). Check transit times.
  • Service Days: Monday–Friday, with Saturday pickup and delivery available in many areas for an additional charge.
  • Delivery Area: Available throughout all 50 states.

FedEx Home Delivery®: 1-7 business days, based on distance to the destination
  • 1–5 business days within the contiguous U.S.; 3–7 business days to and from Alaska and Hawaii. Check transit times.
  • Service Days: Tuesday–Saturday. Delivery is between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. FedEx Ground picks up packages Monday–Friday.
  • Delivery Area: Available throughout all 50 states.
  • Exceptions: FedEx Home Delivery cannot deliver to P.O. boxes.

Back-order items

While we bring every week fresh chocolates to our shipping center, it is possible that we may be out of stock of the particular praline that you desire. We will ship and match the missing item or packaging with the closest possible flavor and packaging. You can always contact us for further information.


Special gift packaging and corporate gift items
Some larger gift packaging items require more preparation and lead time. We will make our best effort to get the items to you quickly and with least cost. You will be advised of the lead time if the gift is not shipped next day. The gift packaging may vary depending on the availability of the exact packaging materials but is guaranteed to be the same value and quality.


Leonidas Satisfaction Guarantee:
Freshness, Quality and Choices at Leonidas apply also in our Service. However, if for any reason your order does not meet with your satisfaction, contact us by email and enclose pictures for a prompt, courteous response. However, we cannot replace shipment when the damage is caused by Fedex or if the shipment was damaged after arrival, or if Fedex did not deliver on time/perform as contracted.


Order processing:
All orders placed before 10:00am CST will be processed that same day. If your order is placed after 11:00am CST, please allow 24 hours for processing. You need to ensure that someone is at shipment destination to receive the order - Leonidas is not responsible for loss or damages caused by shipment delays.

Warm temperature states:
Since temperatures vary across the country we may elect not to ship over a weekend to guarantee its arrival in premium condition. Therefore, we can not guarantee Monday deliveries on any order.
From May 1st to October 1st and year-around to warm climates, such as AZ, FLA, TX, NM, LA, GA, Southern CA, we require overnight shipping. We are not responsible for heat damages for 2-day air or ground shipments, and/or if the recipient is not present at the time of the delivery.

Christmas and Valentines:
Christmas and Valentines may also extend the Fedex ground shipping times and we cannot guarantee their on time performance. We are also subject to Force Majeure and issues that the shipping company may face. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.During Valentine's and Holiday seasons, the order processing may take up to 3 days depending on the order backlog with FedEx ground shipments, but FedEx express shipments will be processed as a high priority.

Special and Shipping offers:
The periodic shipping offers are for Fedex Ground or Ground Home shipping only even when the marketing communication does not specify it. Leonidas reserves the right take up to 3 business days before sending out the shipments, depending on the order order backlog.

Non-credit card payments and collection fees:
Leonidas approves payments also via check for qualified buyers. The buyer is responsible for all collection and legal fees if the payment is not submitted within agreed time or the check has non-sufficient funds.
